CADCAM
Arrow Engineering is operating in a true Computer Aided Design - Computer Aided Manufacturing world. Once a design is released to manufacturing, our NC programmers work directly from the CAD models to produce parts. Drawings, while still essential, have taken on a whole new purpose. They are primarily used to specify tolerance and fits.
The production process begins with the programmer opening a CAD model. The visualization that began in engineering now helps manufacturing engineers determine how parts will be processed through the shop. The following video shows the tool paths being proven out on the computer prior to being released to the shop floor. The picture to the right is the finished part.
